ADV: Vanitee App

The Lunar New Year is just around the corner and I'm very sure that everyone, if not, most of us would like to look all glammed up right? If you are one of the people I'm talking about, you should definitely download this app "Vanitee". They are Singapore’s largest online beauty and wellness marketplace. They bridge verified beauty professionals with consumers, and they help their users explore, discover and book beauty services all around Singapore.

Once you've downloaded the application, you will arrive at this page where you get to choose services ranging from nails, makeup, hairstyling, brows & lash, and many more! You can even filter out your searches by location, artists, etc for convenience.

You can browse the different salons to check out the different services that they provide, as well as to read the feedback comments/photos left by other Vanitee users. Also, you may chat with them to find out more on the services that you're interested in.

When you have finally decided on the salon that you want, you can proceed to make a booking with them. They have a cancellation policy so you cannot alter your booking 72h before your appointment starts.

Vanitee has invited me to try out a service of my choice, with my booking made through their app. I personally feel that the app is really easy to use and very very user-friendly! There were simply too many services and artists to choose from but I finally set my mind on the hairstyling services by Chop50s. After I have made my booking, there was a confirmation text message. I also received several reminders from Vanitee for my appointment.

The staffs at Chop50s were really friendly and nice. After much contemplation, I settled for a dark shade of red for CNY. I was afraid that the color will turn out a little too bright, but the staff assured me that it would turn out just fine. I'm really glad that I trusted 'em with my hair. They had free wifi in the shop for me to keep myself occupied while they fixed up my hair, and before I know it, the whole process is done! I had my hair set and the curls were really amazing.. I never have the patience or the skills to make my hair look that pretty, so I was rather reluctant to have to wash my hair the next day.

So what are you waiting for?! Book your beauty services NOW for CNY before it’s too late as there are slots available on Vanitee but they're limited and running out fast! It is really easy to book and the artists on the platform have been verified by Vanitee. The bookings are instantly confirmed and guaranteed to avoid disappointment. Also, you will get a FREE Beauty Kit from VanityTrove worth $30 when you use my promo code - "VINEZCNY" with any booking made during the period from now till 14 Feb '16!

Hurry up and hope all of y'all look good for CNY!

Kisses,

Ending 2k15 and welcoming 2k16 with wide arms

Time really passes in the blink of an eye.. It's already the end of 2015 and a new year is about to begin. It seems like just yesterday where I was at Siloso Beach Party welcoming 2015 and hoping for it to be a better year. With no exception, here I am, wishing for 2016 to be an even better year. Life is just like a see-saw.. When life goes up, then it is bound to go down as well, that's how you find balance in life. I've had my fair share of good/bad days, some better/worse than the others. Every year, I learn something new, and it's a whole different matter whether I put that knowledge to use. In 2016, I really gotta learn how to think for myself, give some serious thought to the things/people that are worth my time, and finally put an end to this vicious cycle. Certain things, I can live without, and I may just be unwilling to let it go. However, I'm sure that I'll find and gather strength somewhere, somehow, to be able to get rid of all these negativity and the things that constantly pulls me down.
I want to be able to move on, and create a life with no regrets as long as I'm still breathing. Wrong moves and decisions are inevitable, but as long as I learn how to look at things from a different perspective, that things happen for a reason, learn from mistakes and make improvements, then I guess they won't be regrets.
I may do things differently, and some might disagree on my thoughts, but I'm sure that one day, I'll find people who truly understands and accepts me for who I really am. It's so hard to find that someone, it may be a friend, lover, family.. whoever it is, I will just be glad to have that 'someone' in my life. To be able to understand why I did what I did at that particular point of time without me even having to explain myself. It sounds contradicting when I say life is short, yet I have only lived 1/4 of my life. I can't wait to be exposed to various things, to fully understand human nature, to gain many experiences in my life. I can't believe that I haven't been living life to its fullest for the past 20 years. Thankfully, it's not too late to realize and start now. There's so much more to life, so why am I bothering myself with all these trivial matters that aren't supposed to affect me at all?

Bring it on, 2016, I'm ready.

When it's time to let go, let go. Don't let the same matter haunt you continuously.

Kisses,
Vinez

Christmas is my favorite holiday

The pictures above may not be professionally taken, but I sure did have a great time capturing those magical moments. Made a trip down to Gardens By The Bay for the ongoing Christmas Wonderland event where there are decorative lights, carnival games, skating rink, caroling, and of course, FOOD!!! In my honest opinion, there was nothing much and we finished exploring in a few hours. Still, it was a good choice to bask in the christmassy vibe and enjoy the x'mas tracks playing in the background. I've gotta say though, the lightings were super picturesque and I was just busy snapping away. My boyfriend had a shot at the carnival games but he sucked badly and walked away with nothing.. He should be considered lucky to have a girlfriend who's uninterested in such games and soft toys. You'd be surprised at the number of guys trying to win a little something for their girlfriends, be it a small plushie or a human sized one. It was like a mini night market there as well, with a row of push carts selling food or handmade items, and some really really cool and interesting stuffs. Too bad that we were stuffed from dinner so we missed out on the yummy food carts. However, my biggest regret was not being able to take pictures in the photobooth where they provide really adorable props for our photo taking! We were too lazy to queue for it initially as there was a mega long line when we first discovered it, and subsequently when we walked by.. When I was finally willing to queue for it, which also was the time the queue shortened by more than half, they were already closing. I was rather disappointed but I guess there's always a next time.

Christmas dinner with my mom, godmom, sister, and our partners at Shin Manbok Kbbq at 116 Neil Road, but no pictures as I've had it before so I wasn't into taking pictures. One thing I like about that place is that the staff/boss will cook your food for you, so you just gotta sit back, relax and eat! They serve pretty appetizing food for a reasonable price, so it's a place that you should definitely check out.
Had other christmas celebration/gathering as well, and I can conclude that it has been a great Christmas this year (even though I didn't have much x'mas vibes this year as compared to previous years) with my loved ones.
