Rise & Grind is just a short distance away from my school, so Jess, Chris and I decided to head there for brunch, not knowing that they only serve their breakfast and brunch menu till 3PM. So we tried other stuffs instead..

Didn't really fancy the food but we had a great chat. It was a small cafe and not worth the return in my opinion.
Just wanna say how grateful I am for knowing my Uni friends - school wouldn't be the same without them. In SIM, it's really hard to make friends unless you already have friends entering the same course and module. The saddest part is, you can totally survive with zero friends. Lectures only lasts for 3hours with a short 20minute break, and you can just discuss group assignments (if any) with your group mates through email/Google docs/Skype etc. It goes without saying that the 3h lecture would feel like the longest time in your life, and you'll feel so relieved once classes are over. One of the many reasons why it's so hard to make friends is because you may have made friends in one module, but they may have different lecture timings for the rest of their modules, or you may not take the same modules as them. The other reason could probably be because it's just harder to approach people who are already with group of friends or foreigners because there may be a language barrier. If you have many friends, then lucky for you! One way to make friends could be to join CCAs, but I simply have no time and interest for that.
That's why, I'm really thankful that I've friends to spend what seems like the longest 3h of my life with me, talking about nonsensical stuffs and laughing at our own jokes.
