Back from hiatus x Wah Lok x Outback Steakhouse

Hello guys, I'm finally back and I'm having my 2months holiday so I guess you'll be seeing a lot more of me over here.

Haven't been up to much during my exam period cos I obviously had to mug SO HARD for it.. But here's an outfit from when I went for a family lunch!

On the way to have lunch at Wah Lok with my sister! Below are some visuals of the food we ate.

Custard bun

Hargow

Xlb

Charsiew bun that my mom loves but I honestly prefer the charsiew bun at Tim Ho Wan over this

Siewmai

Braised efu noodles

Prawn & scallop rice noodle rolls

Spare ribs

Glutinous rice + chicken feet

Egg tart so good and soft that it melted into my mouth

And what's eating custard bun without taking a shot of the custard flowing out of the bun????

The total bill came up to approximately $160++ which I thought was quite reasonable, considering that their food was pretty tasty!

Walked around marina square before heading home to continue burying my head in the books

Off to have my dad's belated birthday dinner!

Gotta stop this mini craze of taking pictures of my shoes etc.. Hahaha but I kinda like it so ohwell

With the sister who looks nothing like me

A selfie before we made our way down for dinzy

Planned to dine at Timbre but due to the unexpected heavy rain, we decided to switch to Outback Steakhouse instead

Complimentary bread at the start of the meal

Classic Mojito ($12.90)! One of my fav cocktail.

My dish! Outback special ($31.90)
Warning: their mashed potato sucked so please do not order that. It had bits of the potato skin mashed together with the potato, not really to my liking.

Ordered the 10 oz steak but I'm not a big eater so I should have actually ordered the 6oz!

Ribeye ($37.90)

Seasoned and seared prime rib ($37.90) but this was done pretty raw though we requested the doneness to be medium-medium well.

Seasoned and seared prime rib ($37.90) as well but this tasted better. This is supposedly one of their signature dish but too bad that it didn't have any consistency.

My verdict for this restaurant is that.... I would choose Jack's Place for affordable steak over this any other day. I guess you really get what you pay for huh!

Also finally got to try Milkcow! I loveeeeed it, it's so milky, just the way I like it.

With my sister at dinner.

Had a simple 3rd anniversary celebration with my love cos I simply couldn't afford to spend more time with him due to my exams, but thank god for such an understanding boyfriend. I'll make it up to you, I promise!

Caught Avengers Age of Ultron before heading home. It was one of the first few movies we watched when we got together 3 years back!

Can't believe it's already been 3years, it seems like just yesterday that we got together.. Gone through so many ups and downs together but we're still going strong! Definitely not gonna say that he's the right one, but whenever problems arises, I'm glad that we both choose to fix the problems together instead of throwing everything away.

Also, thank you for giving in to me most of the time (though most of the time you're in the wrong, bleh) and for making sure that I never have to go to bed feeling upset/angry. Truly the best, I love you baby.

Time flies so quickly, serving as a reminder that time waits for no one so we've always gotta do what we wanna do, and always seize the day! Putting a stop to this post here, shall see you next time. :-)

Signing off,
Vinez, xx
