Gastronomia x TCC x PS Cafe x Salt Grill and Sky Bar

A pic immediately after my papers! Was so glad that it was all over. I probably didn't start early enough but I swear to god that I suffered 1month of not being able to go out, having insufficient sleep and entering the exam hall with 0h of sleep not because I didn't want to, but because I was too stressed out to even fall asleep. Of course, the other reason was because I had no time to sleep, hahaha.. Yep I'm ashamed of it no doubt.

Should've started studying sooner but I have such a bad habit of procrastinating till the very last minute, and get panic attacks for not being able to memorize or understand everything for my exams. Not proud of it at all, and I'm definitely gonna study harder for the following semesters. For now, am keeping my fingers crossed for my results.

Had lunch at Gastronomia HV because my friends and I were all so deprived of good food!

They're pretty well known for their cronuts and they've such an interesting range of desserts. Really such a pity that I couldn't make any space for desserts, so I'm definitely returning here for desserts.

Ain't the design of the cafe just so unique?!

Really huge meringue!!!

Cupcakes

Us while waiting for our food to be served ~~

Looking ultra weary cos I went to school without sleep so basically I survived 33h before heading home to crash. I guess that's my record as of now, I've never gone without sleep for so long!

Funghi Aglio Olio ($15.50)
I thought that the spaghetti was a little undercooked so it was rather hard..

Carbonara ($15.50)
Delicious!!! Just that the cream was too overwhelming for me, so I didn't finish my meal.. Apart from that, thumbs up for this dish!

Al funghi ($15.50)
Was a tad too creamy as well

Loved the ambiance here and I'm absolutely coming back to try their desserts, cronuts especially.

Went for a second round of lunch at EWF and Minchin ordered truffle fries. I was too full so I didn't even touch the truffle fries at all. Nonetheless, it was such a good time chatting about the first thing that pops into our heads over good food!

Met Minchin for lunch and to do our eyelash extensions, finallyyyy

Snapped lots'a photos cos we're shameless like that

My iced caramel hazelnut latte and her peachy litchi iced tea

Soft shell crab with black pepper pasta

Oooooh I love this. So peppery and good, I love spices! I would've finished my meal if not for the fact that I've a small appetite.

Seafood aglio olio

This has gotta be my fav dish at TCC! Their prawns and scallops are always cooked so well, no other seafood aglio olio is comparable to TCC's .

Basically all the food over at TCC taste amazing imo. Me luvvvvvv

A picture outside TCC before we made our way down to get our lashes done

My ootd which was somewhat simple, though it was a total wrong choice to wear jeans in the insane weather

Excited girls on our way to do our lashes! Just realized I didn't take an "after" picture of our lashes but I'll get it done when I meet her again hehe

Lunch with my favorite boy at PS Cafe. Their truffle shoestring fries ($15) is to die for. Tried so many truffle fries and I still think this is the best! The serving is massive, so it's better to share with more friends else you'll end up not finishing this, like my bf & I! But don't get me wrong, I ain't complaining about their serving hehe

The Big Breakfast ($22)

Walked around for a bit before we parted as I had to go for my sister's birthday dinner!

Kind'a dressed up and I don't usually bother because comfort > anything else. May not seem really dressed up to you but hey this is a totally different style from what I normally wear, and most importantly, I tried!

So her birthday dinner was at Salt Grill and Sky Bar which had a breathtaking view that overlooked the city.

We made it just in time for the sunset and it captured my attention right away.. I kept stealing glances at it even though I was supposed to decide what I wanna order.

Magnificent view from the 55th storey

Family pic with my daddy and my sister who turned a year older.

Bread was served along with coconut broth which was really great by the way!

Took truckloads of selfie cos the lighting was awesome so please pardon all the selfie spams

Confit duck & mustard fruit wrapped in a brick pastry, apple mayo ($28)
This is completely satisfying. The taste is out of the world, I feel like I'm getting closer and closer to heaven with every bite I take.

We also ordered the "glass" Sydney crab omelette, enoki mushroom & herb salad, miso mustard broth ($33)
Another one of their recommended appetizers. This was fairly yummy, but I just didn't know how to enjoy this. My dad & sis thought this was equally good though.

It slowly turned dark so I had to take pictures of the view

Not a very well taken picture but still.. Isn't our city gorgeous?!?
I'm one who appreciates scenic views and stuffs, & I'm always left in awe at how beautiful our country is. :-) that's also why I love going to rooftop bars etc but that's really beside the point.

And our mains is served!!!
I had the sirloin 250g Rangers Valley, New South Wales, 300 days grain fed, cauliflower purée, vanilla fig, date and orange salad ($75)

It was well seasoned and very flavorful. The orange salad was naturally tangy and as for the steak, it melted in my mouth. I enjoyed it so much that the whole plate was wiped clean!!! That's just how good it was

My dad had the fillet 200g, Tara Valley, Victoria, grass fed, mushroom purée, carrots, spinach ($75)
There's only one word to describe this: heavenly. I've never tasted anything better than this, I swear. This was like 10x better than mine. Yums

My sis picked the veal cutlet 280g, Northern Rivers New South Wales, garlic mushrooms, BBQ sauce ($68)
This was undoubtedly pleasant as well, but surely not something I'd pick as it's too strong for my taste.

I ordered the Sparkle of Rose ($18) and my dad had the Long Island Iced Tea ($20)
My drink tasted sweet & citruzy at the same time, and I thought it was refreshing!

Yet another selfie before we left and I caught up with my boyfriend, and we went for a game of darts and Zouk.
Was such a crazy and fun night! Can't wait to share more about everything else throughout my holidays ;)

Ending the post with a rather blurry photo.

Signing off,
