BKK Day 4/6

Finally the weekends which meant that I get to spend the whole day at Chatuchak market!!! I've always spent a whole lot of time there on my previous trips, so I'm actually surprised that we spent a few short hours there this time round, and with very little loots. Probably the season wasn't really as good, so most of the time we were just perspiring, complaining about the heat, stopping at street stalls for some snacks, getting lost, and more complaining. I love the quails egg topped with salt, pepper and whatever else they added in but the stall we stopped by served really bad food so I'm never going back ever again. It's better to get 'em from stalls with no seats provided and just walk & eat. I bought a great deal of pork satays as well, they're so irresistible!

Concluded our JJ market trip with a touristy shot of us wearing our BKK sandals. We all got the same pair of sandals and it's soooo comfy, ultra worth it, probably one of my best buys. Totally regretted not getting more pairs because now I'm only afraid that my current one will give way.

Took some selfies and our outfits at Novotel hotel's poolside. Doesn't everything and every photo looks better when you're overseas?! Does anyone feel me???

Went back to the hotel to freshen up before we went out for dinner! Saw a lot of Singaporeans dining at this mookata place so we decided to check this out, it's only $6++ which is way cheaper than in Singapore. But of course, don't expect much.. The place was rather dirty, like I was totally grossed out when I went to the washroom. It looked and smelt like a hell hole, literally. Please remember to empty your bowels and wash your hands clean, or sanitize your hands, so that you won't have to ever visit their toilet!!!
The food there was so-so too, nothing special. It's a mookata buffet so eat all you want, but you'd have to pay for wastage of food, which we did, because none of us could finish the food we took, greedy us.

It was pretty late by the time we were done with our dinner, and the Victory Monument night market was already closed, so we decided to cab down to the JJ Green night market, which was thankfully still open! It was quite a happening area, lots'a pubs around, loud music filling the night air.. Shopped quite a bit over there as well before we went back to rest.

I swear Singapore should have more of such night markets so owls like me can head out to shop whenever I've nothing to do at home!

Signing off,
Vinez, xx
