Baby's 21st birthday celebration

Caught Ted 2 at VivoCity GV Gold Class for my boyfriend's 21st birthday belated celebration. I didn't have any plans and I apologize that it wasn't anything fancy, but my boyfriend is really the I'd-rather-stay-at-home-and-chill kind'a guy so it's pretty tough for me to plan. The movie was hilarious, laughed so much throughout the show. What I really love about gold class is that I get to eat and watch my movie in comfort. There'll be like a 2-in-1 cushion and blanket provided so you have something to hug or to keep warm. I don't eat on my bed AT ALL so being able to lie down, watch my movie in peace, and eat, has gotta be one of the best feeling ever!

It was already dinner time when we ended the movie, so we made our way down to his surprise birthday location that I've made reservations at. Since it was his 21st, I felt like he deserves a treat and I decided to dine at Saint Pierre, which is away from the bustling city. Love the ambience there as it's rather peaceful.

Not exactly the best view, but it's the company that matters right? Ordered our food and the waiter recommended their fresh mango juice to us. Although I don't take mango, but the juice was really thick, yet light and refreshing. I'm not good with words so I don't exactly know how to describe the drink, but just know that it was good.
We were served with complimentary pastry and starters which tasted delicious. It immediately had me anticipating for our mains with high expectations. The food were fresh and the combinations of the puree, ingredients, and what not went well together.

First up, we ordered their Foie Gras Classique ($48) to share and thankfully we made the right decision because it came in a huge portion. I consider it one of the better foie gras I've tried because it kind of melts in your mouth and it was incredible. Loved this dish but my boyfriend begs to differ.. I think it's just because he doesn't know how to appreciate foie gras.

I ordered the Cabillaud Au Miso ($48) for my main dish. It didn't really appeal to me though, probably because I didn't really like the sauce, but it was still decent overall. The fish was fresh and soft, no fishy taste/smell at all so no complains!

Jerome had the Boeuf "36 Heures ($48) for his mains. It wasn't anything special so I was quite disappointed as I expected their food to be excellent after their wonderful starters. I thought that there were too much greens on his plate, and neither of us likes veggies so.. what a waste.

By the time we were done with our meal, our tummies were bursting and had absolutely no space left for desserts however tempting they look. The service was splendid and they attended to us with a warm smile on their face, constantly checking on us, making sure that we had a pleasant meal, unlike other typical restaurants where waiters/waitresses don't give two hoots about customers. Still, I was dissatisfied that our mains didn't taste as great as the starters, but I'm almost a 101% sure that the foie gras definitely made up for it. It wasn't the best meal I had, however, I do think it's still worth a try. Most importantly, I hope that my boyfriend enjoyed his birthday dinner, and my companion of course!

Took a stroll in that area while chatting before returning back home.. Night strolls brings back so much memories when I used to walk his dog together with him every night without fail. I no longer do that now because I'm lazy, I'm sorry I'm not a good girlfriend. oops

I'm sorry once again love, for this might not be the way you intended to celebrate your birthday. I just sincerely wish you happiness and thank you for settling with all these ordinary plans that I've made for you. I have so much to say to you but I just don't think this is the right platform nor the right time to express all these feelings, so I'm just gonna end it here.
I love you.

Kisses,
Vinez
