The Missing Pan x YHF Warehouse Sale x Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King

Just thought that I should update my space before school becomes a handful for me.. Not that it has started yet, but I already foresee my lifestyle once my next semester starts.

Visited The Missing Pan together with Claire before heading down to the YHF warehouse sale.

  •  Address: 619D Bukit Timah Road #01/02-01 Singapore 269724
  • Tel: 65 6466 4377
  • Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10AM - 10PM

This is the exterior of the cafe. It's a rather small cafe, but they have ample parking spaces at the back, so be sure not to drive away the moment you see the lots up front being occupied.

This is the first level of the cafe, and we were greeted by their (sad to say) limited variety of desserts at the desserts counter.

Took a lift up to the second level, which is where people have their meals at I suppose? Though there were also tables on the ground level.

I must say that the cafe is relatively cozy and an awesome place to chill. The drawers on the wall are for display purposes only. I know because I did try to close it back in but it wouldn't budge.

So.. on the to food! We were famished and had a hard time selecting our food; we just wanted to order everything on the menu ~
We ordered the Truffle Fries ($12) to share. I realized that truffle fries has become a typical sharing dish amongst my friends, but honestly, who the hell can resist truffle?!?!!

Their truffle fries here were basically drenched in truffle oil, because the smell was so strong! We ended up wasting almost half of our fries as it was too much, and quite frankly, we were stuffed from our mains too.

Salmon Gravlax Eggs Benedict ($20)
My dish and it tasted amazeballs!!! I love love loooove smoked salmon, and I think it pairs well with eggs benedict. I always order this dish, because I never fail to get that satisfying feeling whenever I slice into the poached egg, and runny yolk just oozes out onto my bread/muffin. Oooooooh.

Missing Pan's Brekkie ($24)
Claire's usual pick. This was somewhat good as well, but I'd go for eggs benedict over big breakfast any day!

Yum yum in our tum tum. Overall I'd say that this cafe is worth visiting, however, be prepared to have inattentive waiters/waitresses because God knows what they're busy doing even though the cafe was quite empty. At one point, despite my numerous calls for them, there were simply no staffs that responded to me/in sight, that I had to walk over and pour myself a drink! Bad service.. but the food was moderately delightful.

Had a rather fruitful catch up session before we lifted our asses to YHF's warehouse sale which was just nearby.

In the lift up to the sale.

We were brought to grab a drink first and enjoy the refreshments provided for their customers. They had churros, apple ciders, juices, etc..

And the crazy shopping begins! Browsed through their clothes, and some of them really caught my eye. YHF apparels have always been of high quality and although I rarely get my clothes from them, I still really liked it.

DJ Ghetto was spinning during the time that we went down.. So we had good music to listen to whilst shopping. How awesome is that huh! ;)

In love with their footwear because most of them are platforms, which is what I desperately need to give a boost to my height.

All their clothes were going at insanely cheap prices. We hung there for quite awhile, and no matter what time it was, there were still many groups of people walking in.

Here's a picture taken by Winne, together with Claire. I don't have the other photos taken at the photobooth though, because Claire is such a bitch and refuses to send them to me! Just kidding hahaha, it totally slipped my mind, so I guess this picture would have to suffice.

This sleeveless buckled crop top was one of the few items that we got! Love the color combination when we wore them out together.. Monochrome has gotta be my favorite, it's so hard to see me dressed up in any other colors.

Anyways.. after work one day before jetting off to BKK, Minchin & I decided to settle our dinner at Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King.
  • Address: 60 Paya Lebar Road, Paya Lebar Square #01-04 (Opposite Paya Lebar MRT)
  • Opening Hours: 11am – 10pm Daily

There was a long line but thankfully it moved pretty quickly.

Can I just say that I'm fascinated by the whole concept and design of this restaurant?!?!?! It sends the authentic Japanese ramen stall vibes to me almost immediately. I'm a ramen lover, and I've tried many ramen before, but this place really wowed me. Before we went in, Minchin told me that the food here was great, and after doing my research, I realized that there's actually a few franchises all around Singapore.
I can't wait to try them all already!!!

Complimentary bean sprouts and hard boiled eggs. The eggs tastes mega good when dipped in their condiments, I had about.... roughly 4 eggs? Too many eggs in a day, but YUMS.
We placed our order on a chit outside the restaurant, and we could even request for the taste of the soup, amount of chicken oil, and how we'd want our noodle texture to be like, all in that order chit. I thought it was rather cool, even though I forgot to snap a picture of that.

For me, I had the Black Spicy Tonkotsu ($11.90), and it was indeed up to my expectations. Everything just went so well together. It was such a good meal, in fact, I consider it somewhat my last meal in Singapore before I flew to Bangkok. Left the restaurant with happy bellies!

Gonna start on my BKK post real soon, so do stay tuned.

Signing off,
Vinez, xx
